Validator nodes are one of the latest entities to enter the Helium Blockchain. These nodes are in charge of verifying transactions, adding new blocks to the blockchain, and doing other consensus group work.

Running a validator can allow you to contribute to network scalability and be profitable by earning additional HNT rewards.

Requirements to run a validator on your own

10K HNT
Virtual or physical machine in which to run Helium CLI Wallet
How to Helium CLI Wallet
Download latest Helium CLI binaries
Virtual or physical server in which to run the Validator
Validator technical requirements
Deploy using Docker
Build Validator from source

But what if you do not have the technical skills or 10k HNT …😭

Independent staking providers have been listed on the Helium.com site for users that do not have 10k HNT and/or that do not want to deal with the technical side of setting up and maintaining a Validator Node.

This is a list of a few staking providers along with their fees:
- Helium Rising — 5% commission
- HNT Staking — 3% commission on earnings
- Helium Staking— 4% of rewards for pool
- Multipool App — $120 shared between participants + 1.2% commission on earnings
- Vanager— $4 per day + 3% commission on earnings

Helium Rising requirements:
1. Register for an account at HeliumRising.com (email, password, address, phone number)
2. Minimum of 100HNT to stake
